Ross Daly Trio (with Kelly Thoma and Giorgos Manolakis)
Giorgos Manolakis was born in Heraklion on the island of Crete in 1982.
He started practicing the Cretan laouto under the guidance of his father Kostas Manolakis , who is one of the most renowned laouto players of his generation.
Six years later he started studying the bouzouki next to very important players. Today Giorgos is considered to be one of the most important and virtuoso players of his generation, both on the laouto and the bouzouki. He has collaborated with many renowned musicians and composers such as Ross Daly, Hainides, Psarantonis, Sokrtatis malamas, Zohar Fresco and many more.
